the best lighting for small spaces from Rejuvenation

It is a known fact that I am obsessed with Rejuvenation lighting. During our bedroom makeover, I had the opportunity to meet with the team in Portland and tour the factory where they hand-make and finish many of the gorgeous pieces you see in their stores. As I become a more conscious shopper, I love adding pieces to my home that are made in America and feature heirloom-level quality and materials. Rejuvenation checks off those boxes for me, while also bringing a classic, yet modern design aesthetic to any space — even a small space! After perusing Rejuvenation's Online Lighting Guide, I felt inspired and wanted to share which lighting would work best for a small space with you.
The BEST Lighting for Small Spaces
Cedar & Moss Conifer Collection
For a Living Room
I'm not one for overhead lights in the living room. Even with a frosted glass covering, overhead lighting is not exactly the most flattering. Instead I much prefer to use a mix of floor lamps and table lamps to create cozy ambiance, perfect for entertaining or lounging. I use different lamps to create 'zones' within a single room, as well. This helps to break up a space, even a small one, so that it almost feels bigger! For example, a great floor lamp combined with a comfy chair is the perfect formula for a reading nook, while I'd put table lamps on either side of the sofa.
For a Bedroom
While designing our bedroom, I wanted it to feel like the chicest room in the house, full of all my favorite colors, patterns, and finishes. We opted for a larger, modern chandelier over the bed because we didn't have to worry about anyone bumping their head on it — I fiiiinally got my dramatic lighting moment! As for bedside lighting, our nightstands are quite small and we didn't want to clutter them up with tabletop lamps. We opted for wall mounted sconces to save space and have a more built-in feel to our room… and I am so glad we did!

For a Dining Room
I have always wished our dining room ceiling was higher so I could install a proper chandelier or pendant… but such is life in a small house! Rejuvenation has countless options when it comes to flush mount lighting or semi-flush mount lighting. Depending on the style of your dining room, you can go super minimalist and have the lighting be all about the frosted glass or you could opt for a piece that has a more artisanal, handmade quality to it. Personally, I am a fan of dining room lighting that feels less basic and more unique because it's a space where you entertain guests and therefore should feel a little bit more special.

For the Kitchen
When it comes to the kitchen, I am all about pendant lighting! In fact, I have my eye on the Haleigh Dome Pendant for our kitchen when the time comes. Personally, I like the look of a single, statement-making pendant framed by a window over the sink. This is such a classic placement for kitchen lighting, but with a handsome pendant made of mixed materials (like the one I'm eyeing), it will feel fresh and modern! Rejuvenation lighting is also perfect for other areas of the kitchen, like a grouping or single, large chandelier over an island or sconces to illuminate a grouping of floating shelves.
